Join the Saint Ann Evangelical Catholic team on Tuesday, May 20th, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in Breen Hall for Being an Easter People, a mission huddle in which participants will be encouraged to explore what it means to celebrate the Easter season for all fifty days and beyond. Through discussion, scripture, prayer, and both spiritual and practical advice, attendees will encounter their own tombs of darkness and opportunities to live the Joy of the Resurrection. Father's Day is June 15th. The Saint Ann Faith Formation program will once again sponsor a celebration of Fathers at all the Masses. We need volunteers to sign up to make this happen. Click here to volunteer!

Family Bible Study hosted by Zane and Maria Laughlin continues in May monthly on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays at 3:30 PM in Breen Hall. Families of all ages and sizes are welcome! Join the GroupMe to learn more!

There will be two Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats available in 2025. They include May 16-18 at St. Bernard’s Abbey in Cullman, Alabama, and Sept. 5-7 at Passionist Retreat House in Whitesville, Kentucky. As part of the Jubilee Year of Hope, Bishop J. Mark Spalding of Nashville will celebrate a Blue Mass for First Responders at 12:10 p.m. on Friday, May 30, at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. All faithful of the Diocese Of Nashville are invited to an All African Mass, celebrating the Jubilee of Hope, at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, at Holy Name Church in East Nashville. This special liturgical celebration will showcase the rich cultural traditions and spiritual expressions of African Catholics while uniting in our shared Catholic faith. Catholic Charities, Diocese of Nashville will host the second annual Kaleidoscope Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, at the Catholic Pastoral Center. Kaleidoscope aims to foster community outreach and education to promote understanding of our foreign-born neighbors and strengthen connections throughout Nashville. The annual Together in Holiness Retreat, presented by the Diocese of Nashville and sponsored by the St. John Paul II Foundation, is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Catholic Pastoral Center. Registration opens Monday, May 19. Cost is $64 per couple, with childcare available for $5 per child. Early-bird tickets are available through July 28. For more information, click here.  

Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital is seeking volunteers to serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Communion for patient visitation at both the West and Midtown campuses. Eucharistic Ministers must be practicing Catholics and apply first to become hospital volunteers. A letter of good standing from the pastor must also be provided. Celebrate our new Pope Leo XIV as a family! Holy Heroes has all the materials to have a "Habemus Papam" party. Our Sunday Visitor shared an infographic and activity sheet for older children to learn more about our new Pope. Loyola Press also has resources and activity ideas to celebrate our new Pope.

We continue to have copies of Magnifikid available on Sundays and major feasts and holy days. They are placed near the bulletins for children to grab as they come into Mass. Each copy of Magnifikid includes all the readings and prayers of the Sunday Mass with explanations of the difficult words and the meaning of the rituals; a suggested prayer for Morning and Evening; many suggestions on how to live the entire week with the Lord; various games, a comic, and activities to help children learn about Christian life and culture; and a page intended for the parents with suggestions for family prayers. MagnifiKid is for children between the ages of 6 and 12.

We look forward to welcoming several adults into full initiation with the Catholic Church on Pentecost Sunday at the 11:00 Mass. Pray not only for them, but also for our new Catholics who entered the church at the Easter Vigil! Join us in Breen Hall for a celebration for all of these new Catholics on Pentecost between the Masses.
